Frequently asked questions
What is the Mystery Hunt?
The Mystery Hunt is an interactive murder mystery where you follow clues, complete missions, and try to uncover who is guilty. You progress through the story at your own pace, using both the booklet and your surroundings to find the answers.
Do I need to book an appointment?
No, you don't need to book a time. Once you have purchased your mystery, you can start whenever suits you. This makes the activity easy to adapt to the day, weather, and group.
Is Mysteriejakten suitable for children?
Yes, many of our mysteries are well-suited for families with children. Younger children may need help from an adult, but the missions are designed to be fun to solve together.
Do you need any prior knowledge?
No, no prior knowledge is needed. All clues and all the information we need are in the materials, in the surroundings, or in the digital archive.
Can you do the mystery at any time of day?
Yes, the mystery can be played at any time. However, we recommend playing it during the day or when there is enough light, as some tasks may require you to examine details in the surroundings.
How does a mystery work?
You get a booklet with a story, suspects, and various missions. By solving puzzles, searching for clues, and entering answers into the archive, you will advance in the mystery until you can identify the culprit.
How long does it take to solve the mystery?
Most mysteries take about 1–2 hours to complete, depending on your pace, the number of participants, and how quickly you solve the clues.
How many can participate?
The mystery works best for 2-4 people per group. If there are more of you, you can split into several teams and compete against each other to see who solves the mystery first.
What do you need to bring?
You need to bring the mystery, a mobile phone with internet access, preferably a pen, and clothes suitable for the weather. It may also be a good idea to have a fully charged battery, as some answers are entered digitally.
What happens if we get stuck?
If you get stuck, help is available through clues or instructions in the material. The idea is for the mystery to be challenging, but still solvable without becoming frustrating.
